Barracuda Opens Season in Front of a Packed House

The San Jose Barracuda opened the 2026-27 AHL season on Saturday, October 3, in front of 4,329 fans, a sellout crowd at Tech CU Arena. Despite a 5-1 loss to the San Diego Gulls, the atmosphere inside the building reflected the strong connection between the team and its supporters, who stayed loud and engaged from start to finish.

Another Chance Against San Diego

The result did not take away from the energy of opening weekend in San Jose. With a packed arena and a passionate crowd behind them, the Barracuda began a new chapter looking to turn that support into momentum on the ice. San Jose will have another opportunity on Sunday, October 4, at 3 PM, when the Barracuda host the San Diego Gulls again at Tech CU Arena.
