Blue Angels Close Fleet Week in San Francisco

San Francisco Fleet Week ended Sunday with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels delivering a full final performance over the Bay after fog forced Friday’s show to end early. Thousands packed Marina Green and the waterfront for the weekend finale.

The air show also featured a Marine Corps F-35B Lightning II demonstration flown by Maj. Craig Turner, an Oakland native and UC Berkeley graduate. Saturday and Sunday brought clearer skies, allowing spectators to see the main aerial program in full.

Fleet Week also included Friday’s Parade of Ships, public ship tours at Piers 27 and 35, and Fleet Fest at Fisherman’s Wharf, where visitors met service members and explored military and safety exhibits.
