Bay FC takes control in the second half
The two teams went into halftime scoreless, but Bay FC found the breakthrough just five minutes after the restart. In the 50th minute, Racheal Kundananji created the opportunity for Alex Pfeiffer, who finished the play to give Bay FC a 1–0 lead.
Bay FC struck again only six minutes later. Karlie Lema scored in the 56th minute, extending the advantage to 2–0 and giving the home side firm control of the match.
Bay FC controls the match
The numbers reflected Bay FC’s overall pressure. The home side recorded 22 shots, nine on target, and roughly 60 percent possession, while Racing Louisville finished with six attempts and two shots on goal. Goalkeeper Jordan Silkowitz and the Bay FC defense preserved the clean sheet through the final whistle.
The result also completed Bay FC’s regular-season sweep of Racing Louisville after a 2–0 road victory in Louisville on July 10.
Bay FC will remain at PayPal Park for its next match, hosting Orlando Pride on Sunday, September 27, at 2 p.m. PT.
