Stenberg, Misa and Celebrini Stand Out at Sharks Camp

The San Jose Sharks continued training camp Wednesday at Sharks Ice in San Jose, with the competition intensifying as the organization moves closer to finalizing its roster. Among the young players drawing attention were Ivar Stenberg, Michael Misa and Macklin Celebrini, three forwards who continue to represent an important part of San Jose’s developing young core.

Stenberg, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 NHL Draft, entered Wednesday’s practice following his preseason debut against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 18-year-old recorded an assist, four shots on goal and logged 22:17 of ice time in the 2-1 shootout loss. He also scored during the shootout, continuing a strong first training camp with the organization.

Michael Misa continues to build momentum during Sharks training camp after scoring San Jose’s lone regulation goal in the preseason matchup against the Vegas Golden Knights. The 19-year-old remains one of the organization’s most closely watched young forwards as he competes for a larger role.

Macklin Celebrini enters training camp as an established centerpiece of the Sharks’ young core after recording 115 points during the 2025-26 season. His presence alongside Misa and Stenberg offers a glimpse of a young San Jose group continuing to develop together.

A Young Core Taking Shape

With the training camp roster reduced to 36 players, each remaining practice carries more weight as the Sharks move closer to regular-season decisions. Stenberg’s early impact, Misa’s continued development and Celebrini’s established production give San Jose three young forwards at different stages of their careers but with significant roles in the organization’s future.

As training camp continues, the focus will remain on how San Jose’s young talent responds to increased competition and responsibility. For Stenberg, Misa and Celebrini, every session provides another opportunity to build chemistry and prepare for what comes next.
