LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles FC secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday night, March 7, 2026, at BMO Stadium, thanks to a second-half GOAL from David Martínez and a series of crucial saves from goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.
Despite the final scoreline, the opening half belonged largely to FC Dallas. The visitors pressed high and created several dangerous chances, forcing Lloris to come up big early for LAFC. The veteran goalkeeper delivered multiple key stops during the first half to keep the match scoreless, anchoring the defense while Dallas controlled stretches of possession.
LAFC’s attack, led by the dynamic pairing of Son Heung-min and Denis Bouanga, showed flashes of brilliance throughout the match. The duo consistently combined with quick one-two touches, carving through the Dallas defensive shape and building momentum as the match progressed.
The breakthrough arrived in the 55th minute. Martínez (#30) found space near the top of the eighteen and unleashed a precise strike that sailed into the left upper corner of the net, giving LAFC a 1–0 lead and igniting the crowd at BMO Stadium.
After the goal, LAFC’s attacking pressure intensified. Bouanga (#99) nearly doubled the lead shortly afterward, making a dangerous run into the box and unleashing a shot that narrowly missed the target.
As Dallas pushed forward late in search of an equalizer, Lloris once again proved decisive. In the 95th minute, the LAFC keeper delivered a massive save during stoppage time to preserve the clean sheet and secure the victory for the Black & Gold.
With the win, LAFC carries momentum into its next Major League Soccer matchup. The club will face St. Louis City SC on March 14th 2026, as they continue their early-season campaign.
For LAFC, the night belonged to Martínez’s decisive finish and Lloris’ clutch goalkeeping—two performances that ensured the Black & Gold walked away with all three points in front of their home supporters.
