INGLEWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles Clippers delivered a strong performance on their home floor Tuesday night, defeating the Dallas Mavericks 116-103 at Intuit Dome. In a game defined by getting off to a fast start leading 32-9, the Clippers led for nearly the entire game and eventually pulled away in the fourth quarter and held off a late Mavericks surge to secure an important victory.
Kawhi Leonard led the way for Los Angeles with 34 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists, setting the tone on both ends of the floor. Leonard scored efficiently shooting 11-19 from the field and 6-10 from three. Darius Garland added 22 points and 4 assists, while John Collins and Kobe Sanders provided a key boost with 12 and 11 points respectively. The Clippers ability to shoot efficiently, control tempo, and defend Dallas’s key players played a major role in the outcome.
With the win, the Clippers improve to 41-38, continuing to build momentum in the Western Conference playoff race. The Clippers have officially clinched a Play-In spot, but the work isn’t over. With three games remaining, the team is focused on carrying positive momentum into the postseason. The Clippers will look to continue and carry their success into their next game, April 8, when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder in a critical late-season matchup.
