Final Seconds Fury: El Trafico’s 3-3 Heartstopper

The night air at BMO Stadium crackled with anticipation as LAFC and Galaxy fans filled the stands for another epic showdown. From the first whistle, the pace was relentless.

LAFC drew first blood. In the 26th minute, Denis Bouanga raced onto a Ryan Hollingshead through‑ball, slotting home a smooth right‑footed finish. Just five minutes later, Javairô Dilrosun curled in a second — a clinical response to an intense opening  .

But the Galaxy struck back before halftime: Gabriel Pec converted a penalty (36′) after a handball, pulling his side to 2–1  .

Early in the second half, Bouanga completed his brace with a lightning run and composed finish (67′), restoring LAFC’s two-goal cushion  . Yet Galaxy refused to buckle. Pec again found the net off a Marco Reus assist (79′), setting the stage for chaos to unfold

Drama came in stoppage time. LAFC’s Eddie Segura was shown a straight red for violent conduct (≈90+1′), wobbling the momentum  . Then, in the dying embers — the 96th minute — Maya Yoshida soared to head in Mauricio Cuevas’s cross, sealing a 3–3 draw that stunned the crowd and extended the rivalry’s legacy  .


A tie felt like a win for Galaxy — they twice erased a two-goal deficit and snatched the draw in the final touch  . For LAFC, it might sting like a loss: up 3–1, only to concede with the last kick  .

This latest edition marked the 26th El Tráfico, and with six goals and a last-second equalizer, it capped off as one of the most dramatic yet
